Ian Robinson

I’ve worked in food for over 30 years across three different continents and have a lot of passion for this complex and exciting industry. I started my career in South Africa, moved to Australia in the early 2000s and later led a team in Singapore for a large multinational company. I returned to Australia in 2015 and joined Hawkins Watts Australia as Director, it’s been an exciting and demanding journey. The best part of my role is undoubtedly mentoring my team and seeing them grow as professionals, but I also enjoy the challenge of stewarding a growing business into the future. I’m a scientist at heart, so I love nothing more than getting into the lab to brainstorm solutions to problems with our brilliant team of application technologists.

I am a self-confessed coffee snob and love to spend my free time crafting the perfect brew. I also enjoy spending time with my family, going to the opera, watching sports and taking the family dog for walks in the beautiful Victorian countryside where I live.
